How can I calm my anxiety? Please help...?!

Question: I am moving out of my apartment in a few days and my psycho roommate decided he wanted to start yelling at me for not cleaning the stove before I leave. He has psychiatric problems and I have tried to hang in here as long as I could but it's just unbearable. He is unemployed, lazy and make messes that he never cleans. I have cleaned the house everytime since we moved here. He really acts psychcotic at times, so much so, that I had to call the police twice from being woken up by him screaming obcenities by my door at 5am and throwing things around the apartment. He gets real scary when he acts like that. So, I was washing my dishes tonight and he started screaming about me cleaning the stove when he hasn't picked up a finger for anything ever. I am leaving in 4 days so I am trying to remain calm but I am afraid I am going to wake up to chaos or a disturbance. I have to get up a 5am M-F to drive a schoolbus. Any advice would be appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can you sleep somewhere else tonight? I don't like the idea of you staying there another night with that nut. I'll pray for you.
Philippians 4:6,7 says "Be anxious for nothing but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which passes all understanding, will keep your heart and mind through Christ Jesus."

you need to look for medical help, the psychiatrist may give you anxiolitics, they really work

You say you're Joe's angel... hmmm, well
if that's Joe you've described, he's no angel

Leave the stove in the condition you found it
and as for him, (Joe?) I'll bet your condition is
not as good... LEAVE & don't go back please

journal your thoughts, write a quick gratitude list and get your mind straight. when you are feeling strong, get your jammies and slippers and go take a hot bath, if he asks you anything at all...answer calmly that you are getting ready for bed, you are not doing any more cleaning tonite. period.
if he freaks, calmly ignore, wear ear plugs, turn on classical music, anything but do your best to ignore.
the hot bath will help relax you and you should sleep better.
try not to worry about things that havent happened yet :)
all the best.

If you think he's scary now, what do you think it will be like when you're legally tied to him? He might feel he has the right to control you (or worse). My advise is run! There's nothing you can do for him. What needs done, he has to do for himself.

There is nothing you can do for that person, and the stove, if you ahve to clean it to keep the peace, then just clean it and be done with it or he'll yell at you every day before you leave. I would just clean it and get the heck out of there. Sometimes it's easier to just give them what they want and end the relationship as soon as possible.
