How can i sleep better?!


Question: How can i sleep better?
for the past couple of months i havnt been able to sleep at all. i feel tired and sleepy and i WANT to sleep...but its as if my mind doesnt "shut off"....i start thinking about so many things....from serious stuff to utterly stupid. i try really hard to clear my mind ...but it keeps wandering...i end up sleeping at 4 am...even though i lay down to sleep at 11 or 12. i dont want to take sleep aids.....could someone please give me some advise on how to sleep better. please

There are quite a few ways...the old standbys that people go by (which never helped me)...warm milk. People also say don't lay in bed if you can't sleep, but get up, watch tv, whatever. It's a major waste of time to just lay there driving yourself crazy with random thoughts.
What really works? Force yourself, even with little by little steps, to get into a routine. If it's a hot shower, where your body cools down after, and than reading...or dim the lights and watch a fav. show, knowing you will lay down afterwards. I used to do crossword puzzles in bed til I was ready to knock out. Or, learn a relaxion technique...plenty of books out there. Just remember, routine, routine, routine. It will make you feel more energized, and keep your immune system to where it needs to be.

I was wondering the same thing. It is 4:20 am in Ontario, and I'm on line. My wife asked me what's wrong. Beats me!

do more during the day besides work, play hard and have fun = good sleep. good sex is also good

Learning to be physically and mentally relaxed before going to bed will help you to fall asleep more quickly. You can
