I lost my job?!
Question: I lost my job due to accessive absences. I know it's my fault but I can't seem to get my **** together. It was a good job, and this is the 3rd in a row I've lost. I've got to change. I've been addicted for awhile now...that definately has something to do with it. I feel like I want to die now. F***!!!!! Now, my resume looks like ****. I just need to get motivated. I know what I need to do, but I just don't know if anyone is going to give me the time of day....employers I mean. Anyone ever been through this. Oh, and I can't get unemployment because I went through a temp service. I'm a good worker...how do I prove myself in a interview now?? Help.

You say addicted? To what? Drugs that don't allow you to "make the bell" in the morning? Or addicted to just calling in sick? If it's drugs, you need to address that issue thru a counselor or something like that, I'd think. If it's addicted to calling in, then maybe you're bored with your job? I have done the same job for over 20 years now and truthfully I've switched jobs a lot recently because I am just sick and tired of doing this! Just have a good heart to heart talk with yourself. Address your "issues" whatever they are honestly and you'll find a solution. Ask yourself what really would make you happy.

Get your butt in gear and stop with all the excuses and go to work. I only maybe miss one day of work a year, and that is if I am puking my brains out sick or have to go to a funeral...and if I go to a funeral, I only miss half of the day!
You obviously can ace an interview, just be punctual. Being there is the most important thing. Leave those jobs that you got fired from off your resume.
Also, you could start your own business.
Don't give up you'll be fine.
Why do you say you're a good worker when clearly you're not. If you were a good worker you'd be there every day on time to do your work.
