Question: your gonna feel like crap coming down

Answers: your gonna feel like crap coming down

So what's the question???

OK. I needed to know that.

Wel you are a silly boy then.
Speed (amphetamine, methamphetamine, 'meth', 'ice') is a powerful stimulant drug which people use to stay up and feel alert. However, it has a big down-side - it can make you jittery and tense, and too much of it can make users aggressive and moody, sometimes leading to violent behaviour. People who use speed usually feel down and tired for the following few days.

The use of speed is illegal.

Speed is the slang name for amphetamines. Speed is a drug that stirs up the central nervous system, speeding up the body and the brain.

Some forms of amphetamines are used for medical conditions like narcolepsy (where the person can't help falling asleep anywhere, anytime) and attention disorders in children.

The speed bought on the streets is usually made in backyard laboratories, using dangerous chemicals and unhygienic equipment. It may contain impurities from the manufacturing process. The speed will be 'cut' with other powders by dealers before it is sold to the user - people will cut it with similar looking substances, eg. glucose, vitamin C powder, baking powder, talcum powder. So speed is really a mixture of chemicals. Some of these can be very dangerous.

Methamphetamine is a stronger form of speed, and can come in paste or crystalline form. Methamphetamine is more often injected, smoked or swallowed, while amphetamine powder is more mostly snorted.

'Ice', or 'Crystal Meth' is the crystalline form of methamphetamine - it is a very strong and pure form of speed, which looks like tiny crystals of broken glass. This form is mainly injected or smoked.

Some people use speed because it makes them feel much more alert, energetic, wide awake, excited and confident. They talk non-stop and can go for ages without eating or sleeping.
Some people use it to stay awake, eg. if they're working long hours, doing more than one job, or to study all night long before exams.
Some people use speed to try and lose weight.
Some users inject speed mainly for the 'rush' they get.

The down side
There are risks from injecting speed.

Sharing needles and other injecting equipment can lead to infections such as Hepatitis C, HIV (the AIDS virus), and Hepatitis B.
Unsafe injecting and the additives used to cut speed can lead to abscesses, tetanus and collapsed veins.
The dangers of the impurities in the speed.
There are other down sides to using speed:

Users often feel nervous, hostile or aggressive.
It can affect driving skills, including the ability to judge distances and judge how fast the car is going.
Taking speed can cause shakiness, erratic heartbeat, cramps, headaches and loss of coordination - some people have collapsed.
ODs (overdoses) can end up in stroke, seizures (fits) and even death.
Speed mixed with alcohol can mean an awake very drunk person, and all the aggression that can go with that state of mind.
There's a risk of being arrested by police, because use of it is illegal.
If used over a long time, some down sides are:

psychosis - this is usually a temporary form of psychosis - the person can see things or hear things that aren't there, believe weird things like people are after him and have other strange feelings
depression
anxiety
suicidal thoughts
moodiness
fatigue and poor health from not eating or sleeping properly
needing to take other drugs to get to sleep
sudden violent behaviour
harm to an unborn child if used during pregnancy
addiction and dependence, with a craving for speed and unpleasant withdrawal symptoms if speed use is stopped
tolerance to the drug, with more drug needed to get the same effects
family arguments and conflict about using speed
risk of family breakdown and losing friends
financial problems due to the costs of speed
illegal behaviour (eg. theft) to get the money to buy the speed.

please quit while you still can
