I need a dream decoder, please!?!

Question: Okay, I keep on having dreams that I am in a mall that I have really been to, and I still have a little bit of a fear of falling off the ledges or something or getting shot or being alone there, and when I go there in my dreams, it's actually a living hell, you wouldn't think so, it still seems kind of innocent in my dreams but to me it's a living hell. I would have dreams I would go there and I would be dragged down the escalator and land and be killed, or that I would be with a friend who would shoplift then ditch me, and I would be so scared and nervous I would sit there waiting for something to happen to me. In some of the dreams I can actually make it to the disney store and hide with the stuffed animals. There are decorations all over this mall that scare me, but wouldn't scare you, like giant statues of unicorns or a big display glass of jewlry. Sometimes in this dream I have some of my stuffed animals, and in those dreams nothing bad really ever happens. Anybody know?

The majority of our dreams are nothing more than the brain filing away the day's events. Early Rapid Eye Movement cycles especially are much like your computer in defrag mode. So the first thing that came to my mind was to wonder if you've been watching Dawn of the Dead alot?

That said, dreams do have meaning, but they "speak" to us in a very personal language of the subconscious. One symbol may or may not mean the same thing to two different people. (This would be the Jungian route of dream interpretation.)

Sigmund Freud (Jung's mentor) believed that every dream was a subconscious wish or a subconscious fear. Even this mode requires you to ask questions of yourself, however. Typically, dreams of falling regard a fear of losing control.

Since your scenario is a shopping mall (just using yours as an example) this might indicate money concerns for you as either a compulsive shopper or fear of the inevitable accountability of over-spending. The Disney store, the unicorns, et. al. would indicate that you have a recognition of the possible propensity for childish spending sprees.

Hope that helped, but as I stated above, the subconscious is a very personal language of symbolism--so you yourself need to figure out what each means to you.

Smiling--so you are eleven? You are a very bright young lady.

Keep in mind that the things we watch on television---even things we don't think we are paying attention to are stored in our brains.

Hugs to you, hun.

It sounds like youre just expressing you fear of the mall in your dreams.
Everything bad that you're afraid of happening, is happening in your dream because you think about it alot*(assuming) whenever you go there.
Even stuff you've never thought of.

Its just a way your brain gets thru some of the stressful thoughts you think about this particular place.

Also, are you stressed lately?
Have you been afraid of something else?
Like, a boy, or a trip, or anything?
Also, you could be thinking subconsciously about this mall because of it being Christmas and everything, and that triggers your mind into its
"panic" mode because you apparently dont find it too appealing.

What an intense dream!

Okay,

The mall could represent a current event or change that you are going through in your life. It may be an ambiguous change that you are not sure whether it is bad or good.
The violence in the dream, could represent your inner most feelings of fear and pain because of this event.
Is the escalator moving up or down, in this dream?
If it is, going down, then you see this event as an end all be all, destructive force. And because you are moving downwards, with gravitational pull, you feel that whatever is going on is inevitable and cannot be stopped.
If the stairs were moving up then you subconsciously would be feeling that good things could arise from this event.
When you go to the Disney store and hiding among the animals, you are going back to child hood comforts. These stuffed animals are familiar and comforting. Maybe the event in your life has you wishing that you could go back in time to the way things were when you were happier or felt at ease. You feel protected by good child hood memories.
As for the scary unicorns, maybe they represent something hidden. Unicorns are not usually seen as something scary in our culture. BUt if this life event, is seemingly harmless on the surface but on the inside it terrifies you, then that is what the giant scary unicorns symbolize. Glass and jewelry symbolize money or finances. But colorless glass, can be related to clear ice, thus linking it to the cold. Cold things mean barren events, or being paralyzed with fear or you feel your emotions are being ignored because whatever is going on around you is ignoring you and treating you coldly?

This is just my interpretation, not a medical opinion.

REcurring dreams often try to tell us something or warn us of something thats going on in our lifes. Dreams are always unique to an individual, therefore, some dream dictionairy wont help much. I can see one theme in your dream and that is anxiety over other people getting you in trouble. Take a good look at the friends you hang out with. Is there someone who might get you in trouble? Maybe your dream is trying to tell you to re-evaluate your current friends and get back to the old values (stuffed animal) that you had. Good Luck.

Sounds to me as if something has happened there before or you heard it on the news. Now you have it in your mind and have scared yourself of the mall. Suggest you make yourself go and walk slowly just to get rid of the fear, even if it is a little at a time. If this continues, you may should seek advice from counselor to find out why...good luck===
