Question: what girl would go with someone like that.. who could see is what he really is.. i like the man .. not the actor..but the part he played.. we should all be so lucky to find someone that loved us as much..... but why did jenny have such a promblem with being with him.. and when she was dying she married him..he was loyal... he loved her.. she did not see it

If you look at where Jenny came from is a place to start. She was abused as a child and at some level abused people think that is what they deserve. And being with some one like Gump was foreign to her. If Gump had been a guy like her father she would have liked him even if he abused her because again that is what she thinks she deserved. She eventually married him just because it was starting to look a lot better than what she had and she knew Gump loved her no matter what. I loved the movie by the way. I was in Viet Nam and it was some what realistic.
