I'm not a doctor so I can't make a diagnosis. You should really see a doctor though. But it sounds like you are dealing with bipolar. People with bipolar can hallucinate as well as those who suffer from schizophrenia. But it sounds like you are most likely dealing with bipolar. I hope everything goes well. You should see a doctor.

Oh sweetie you should definitely see a psychiatrist. I will pray for you and your family. God bless!

its definitly not normal, see a physcologist! or a doctor, because it might be a chemical imbalence in your brain, *hugs* youll be ok!

psychoactive illnesses are illnesses when people don't realize that they are wrong.
if you had were a schizo you wouldn't know that you were wrong in thinking that people were calling out your name.

sounds to me like you're a hypochondriac.
...maybe with an anger management disorder.

try to lighten up.

EDIT: i forgot to add that schizo and bipolar disorder are both psycho active illnesses.

Please go see a psychologist. Ask your family doctor if he has any recommendations. Honestly, you should be taking to someone about this. Possibly through therapy and some sort of drug regiment you should be able to get your moods and those voices under control. Good luck!

I would suggest seeing a professional they can diagnose your problem making you a happier person....good luck hope you feel better!

How old are you? Doesn't sound like classic bipolar or schizophrenia to me. If you're a teenager then the mood swings, irrational reactions etc could be perfectly normal hormonal stuff, but as it seems to be affecting your life it would definitely be worth seeing your doctor or contacting a mental health support group for advice. Depression and anxiety can cause some of the symptoms you describe. Take care and take advice!

The good news is that these days we have good medications for what you describe. you need to get a Dr's help though. Its important to see a psycologist as a primary care Dr does not have the expertise. It is unlikely what you describe will go away on its own, it usually gets worse, so -- like high blood pressure, don't freak out about it , just go and get an evaluation.

First of all, I seriously doubt that you'd have both. You can't have two serious mental illnesses at once. Secondly, they are pretty serious disorders and you may just be stressed and feeling just normal depression and growing pains.
But to be sure, see a psychologist or a doctor.

Stop. Take a deep breath. You may simply need to change some of your eating habits. BEFORE you go to see a psychiatrist...... you may wish to change those eating habits!

For instance: don't drink alcohol or eat anything with caffeine in it. Also, do not eat any sugar. Sugar can cause extreme highs & lows in moods. Instead, replace the sugared items with fresh fruit. Replace pop with water.

If you find yourself CRAVING lots of sugar...... this is simply part of a dietary problem.

Let me suggest you start by changing your eating habits. Then, start keeping a diary of your feelings. Take a look at when you are feeling the way you are & see what those times have in common.

Start there, but do not panic!

The things you are seeing could also be part of migraine headaches. As for hearing things?? Get everything else straigtened out and you may find that all those things you seem to hear, may no longer exist.

If they do: it's still okay. Continue to write in your diary all those things that concern you. After changing your diet and taking a look at when you have these problems, you then should decide that IF you see a psychiatrist: if the side-affects of the prescription medicine he/she puts you on are WORTH the benefits of it???

It sounds like at this point: those side affects would not be worth it?? Please be aware: there are MANY side affects that are NOT listed on that prescription information sheet you get with the medication.

Also, if you have been on medication for awhile, and have recently discontinued it: sometimes that affects your hearing & sight. (As strange as that may sound.) If that is the case: you will be adjusting for a few weeks. Also, nothing to panic about.

moods are like waves
