this person probably has some form of paranoid schizophrenia. his symptom is called a fixed delusion, which can be very difficult to treat, and usually the only treatment is medication, and sometimes that does not even work. most people with schizophrenia still have a moral compass and do not hurt other people , but some, if left untreated, and get under stress can act out, causing them to become a danger to self or others. it is not a good idea to confront him with this , because he will not listen, and you could become embroiled into his delusion, and he may feel that you are involved with the mi5. hope this helps you.

Was or is this person a drug taker ??
Some recreational drugs have long term effects.
I think this person needs professional help.

I'd Say Theyre suffering from Paranoia Or Schitzophrenia

It sounds like paranoid schizophrenia

I would suggest a relative or carer take their concerns to a G.P. It's very difficult to get the person to acknowledge their behaviour as being extraordinary as they believe they are perfectly fine and how can anyone else understand as it is not them being followed.
You must be careful around going to doctors and sneaking behaviour as they are highly suspicious and any unusual behaviour could result in the person believing family etc are colluding with the MI5 and drastic behaviour occur.
It does sound like paranoid schizophrenia however before labelling a person with this it's always advisable to seek professional advise and help.
Hope this helps as it's a very difficult situation.

parinoid or schizophrenic...this person needs to get professional help this can be very scary for the individual and also family as well.Really this person needs help and should try and get some asap.

Hello there.

Its diffucult to make any kind of diagnosis with such a small amount of information. Because this person functions well with normal day-to-day life i would not really like to place a Schizophrenic Label on him.

It may be that this person has some real emotional issues and anxieties that manifest themself through paranoid "delusions". Does this person genuinely believe that he is being followed by MI5? or is he just saying so?

He may have a personality disorder
