Xanax question?!

Question: i've been on 3mg of xanax now for about 6 months. Is weight gain a side effect of taking this? I have been eating the same and haven't changed any of my routines but I'm still putting on weight. Anyone else have this problem?

Weight gain is a side effect of Xanax though not considered a serious one. It is still recommended that you let your doctor know about it and any other effects that you may be having.

There is a long list of effects on the site listed below.

Make sure you talk to your doctor.

Good luck

Yes, weight gain is a known side effect of taking Xanax.

Weight gain is a side effect, but before you just stop taking xanax, you MUST talk to your doctor to wean you of of them. Xanax builds up in your system, and if you stop taking them suddenly, it can cause stroke like symptoms, including sudden memory loss, confusion and paranoia. I hope this helps!
