I don't wanna do anything. Why do I always feel like this?!


Question: Right now I just feel like having a cup of tea and going to sleep...but its only 6:45 and I can't go to sleep now because I have 3 big tests to study for, I have a little bit of homework, and a project that I SHOULD be working on. I know it sounds like I'm running away, but I'm so tired all the time and I always have so much homework that I just feel like calling it quits. I don't even think I'm gonna do my project.

I just wanna scream, punch something, drink a cup of tea, then go to sleep.

So why am I always like this??

Maybe you resent all the things you have to do. Or maybe you have too much on your plate. Anyway, try to get through with the work you have to do tonite and keep thinking that you are going to have a nice break from school over the holidays. So, have that cup of tea and muster up some strenght and get done what you have to do. Good luck and Merry Christmas.

It is called depression. Seek medical care. Depression is treatable. Try to seek out a cognitive therapy group if possible to avoid the meds, but take meds if you need to. If you start feeling suicidal, call 911 or seek help at the hospital immediately!

I would suggest that you have some depression and/or a sleep disorder, and they usually come together. I would discuss with a physician. If you're in school, you should have access to a nurse, physician, or clinic. Someone should be able to guide you further on what to do or who to see, based upon further questioning about your symptoms, i.e. how is your sleep at night?

Hi, I agree with the other people. It seems that you are so over-loaded and over whelmed by the the things that you need to do. To not to even enjoy the things that use to make you happy , Sometimes when a person is sleep deprived a person can and usually cause you to feel so over whelmed that all you can see the large tasks and can not seem to notice the small things. Depression may cause a person to not be able to handle the stress that you feel At lot of people feel distressed at Christmas with worrying about money and what you need to do, Your school usually has someone to help you cope. They also usually have groups to help. If your problem is too much to handle then you may consider a crisis intervention to help you locate a therapist. I hope you feel better soon.

Yuck. It may just be this time of year. The shortest day is only 2 days away!
I feel this way a lot and I always accomplish a lot more if I actually leave my house.
Take your computer and books to a coffee shop or someplace like that and maybe being around other people might help energize you. It does worlds of good for me.
Also, maybe a few tanning sessions.
Don't blow off your project, you'll only feel worse later.
It sounds like you have a lot going on and a lot of people would feel like folding under the pressure--but keep your chin up!
If you feel like this after a couple months, maybe see a doctor.
