How to cope with a death?!

Question: My uncle just passed away 2 days ago. It's a very difficult thing to overcome, how have you dealt with situations where you lost a close family member or friend?

Oh my! My condolences to you, darling. I've lost four people I loved this year. Death in an inevitable part of life and grief is part of that. It's okay to express how you feel during a loss. You go through many stages of grief (anger, bargaining, disbelief, numbness), but you and your family will be able to cope with the loss of your uncle. What you can do (most importantly) is allow yourself to grieve. Don't bottle it up! Also, talk to your spiritual advisor (priest, rabbi, or other clergymember) as well. Get support from friends, loved ones, or join a support group. Be blessed, sweetie!

I know how you feel, or worse. I have lost 4 friends, 4 people that I know of this year, 2 health problem, 1 suicide and 1 car accident. It is not easy to over come, the closer you are to them, them more it hurts. All I do is pray and hope for the best. I try not to think too much, it only make it worse. I keep myself busy, hang out with friends, do something that interested you whould help. I feel a little better, but still huant it by them in my mind. My advice is not very helpful, seek other answer :D

Wish you all the best
Happy xmas

I've experienced some very tragic deaths in my family and all that I can tell you is that it takes time to heal. This time period is different for all. You'll have good days once you've heal but the pain may resurface as the anniversary date nears or during the holidays. I chose to distance myself from others at first when my period of mourning was so painful. Sometimes we need this as long as you know you're not considering suicide.

I just prayed a whole lot and ask for strength and guidance. It's not easy when you lose someone you love. But prayer helps and also remembering the good times with that person. I'm sorry for your lost. Take care.

I had a cousin who couldnt swim, he toke a fishin trip with a few friends at in the river but where it meets the ocean with a very small boat that was ment for lakes , the water started to get crazy...slowly the boat started to sink while hes 2 brothers were watching at shore , they were to far to be saved but the brothers they tried swiming threw the waves but couldnt...my cousin Carlos who was in the boat and couldnt swim ended up drowning ....we never found hes body...he was young in hes early 20's with a kid and a wife. He was my cousin abd also my godfather by the church he was the most positive person I knew...I will never forget him. Remember the happy times and stay strong for your family, Make him proud . You will be ok mariposa I promise.

I have lost quite a few people in my life, each loss has affected me slightly different but they all hurt. The most important thing I have learned is to give yourself time to grieve. It is OK to break down, to cry and to feel that pain. It is a testament to how much your uncle meant to you. You may find that you experience a lot of different emotions and feelings over the next few weeks. Everything from complete numbness, unstoppable tears and even feeling that everything is fine are all completely normal. Talk to close friends and other people who knew him, listen to them in turn. Sometimes keeping busy helps but at other times you need to just stop and let the feelings happen. Look after yourself, and don't be too hard on yourself.
