Don't be sad... look around you... a lots blessings to be thankful to God and be happy. Talking to people and therapy is bullsh** . Go out to parks...jogging...play games... watch comedy central...etc...

I write in my journal and write out my feelings. I talk to my boyfriend about how I feel because that makes me feel better. I have a therapist who helps make me feel better.

The first question should be "why". I would love to help you sweetie..but don't know how without more information...You can email me if you want to talk to someone about it.

I suffer from depression anxiety disorder myself. Besides the meds I take what really helps me is keeping my mind busy by doing the things I love. I play with my kids alot, I read, and write poetry and recently I started studying the paranormal. Any way it helps to stay busy and keep my mind occupied. Some days are harder then others, but having the love and support of loved ones helps me get through. I hope that this helos you.

You need drugs first, then you can figure out the answers. Go see a doctor and get on some anti-depressants.

You'll feel great in 2 weeks, then you can try and figure out what put you in the depression.

Also, get more sleep, regular sleep. Drink lots of water, keep your blood sugar steady by eating regular snacks through the day. Talk to your friends.

Take Vitamin B complex. Go for a walk. Go to the mall, buy some ice cream and smile at people. Count your blessings. Sing happy songs (in your head if people are around). Read the Bible (New Testament first). Go to church. Help someone who needs it. God loves you.
"In the day when I cried thou answered me and strengthened me with strength in my soul." Psalm 138:3 I asked the Lord into my life many years ago and He has helped me and blessed me a lot. I'll pray for you.

See depression treatments, at ezy-build *(below) in section 2, and consult a doctor, to eliminate thyroid problems, etc. as possible contributing factors: also seek a referral to a therapist using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, or Rational Emotive Behavioural Therapy. It is your decision, and yours alone, as to whether to take any antidepressants offered, but, before you do, read section 1, and check medications out at www.drugs.com so you will be on the lookout for side effects, like sexual dysfunction. My strong recommendation, however, is to follow the advice of my doctor, his associate, and also Marcelle Pick, OB/GYN NP, and Dr. Mercola, as well, at http://www.mercola.com and avoid antidepressants (pages 2V, and 2Z refer, & antidepressant websites: page 2). The reasons why we all share the same view on this are explained in full, as you will find, if you read the whole section. All of their advice, (except prayer, because many people are not religious) I have incorporated into the "core treatments", including others as options, such as herbal remedies, Inositol, or SAMe. If you are diagnosed with clinical (major) depression, antidepressants may be necessary for a while, which will give the treatments time to become effective. The antidepressants themselves need at least several days, or even many weeks to become effective. It's a good idea to taper off them slowly, with medical advice, after several months, say, to a couple of years, at most, because they are only effective in the long term for about 30% of people. Because of this, you would be well advised to begin the treatments immediately, and maintain them. I'd just thank your mental health care provider, and pocket the prescription, trying the treatments for a few months, to see if they are sufficient for you, before considering filling it (unless clinically depressed, and having great difficulty functioning, or suicidal, in which case I'd take them). If the amount of daylight you have been exposed to recently has reduced, perhaps due to the change of seasons, see Seasonal Affective Disorder (S.A.D.) in section 2, at * http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris and, instead of taking 4 Omega 3 fish oil supplements, daily; replace 2 of them with cod liver oil supplements for the winter months only! (or, as probably a better alternative to the 2 cod liver oil supplements: 1 teaspoonful of cod liver oil, with a little butter, to ensure its use; I take mine on sourdough rye bread, or toast, covered with fish paste, and pepper, to mask the strong taste). Consider having your doctor test your vitamin D levels.

Unfortunately, the one thing you said you don't want is what you really need. A therapist & a psychiatrist. The best therapy I've ever had (I'm bipolar, among other things) is Cognitive Behaviorial Therapy.

If you're having suicidal thoughts or thoughts of death/dying, take that seriously. Because if you get depressed & desperate enough, you don't know for sure what you'll do.

The others here have had some great responses. Journaling is something I could not live without! I journal every day, at least once a day (sometimes more). I carry my journal with me everywhere. It also helps to have a journal when you see a therapist b/c you can track your moods & triggers.

Don't forget that if you start an anti-depressant, you may feel worse before you get better (very common). If you want to go natural, do some research on things like St John's Wort (& Valarian Root if you have anxiety.)

Please take this seriously.

what is the problem? how can anyone give an answer when you stated no problem? but despite whatever the case maybe try meditation/prayer. i would be willing to listen and "give answers" to whatever you're going through...i've recently had to overcome depression, i thought i was on a downward spiral with no way of ever coming out...BUT with much family support/love, therapy, time (taking it one day @ a time) I've realized anyone can push pass any situation. it may not come overnight, it may take a heck of a journey to overcome, but YOU CAN GET THROUGH IT...and although I don't know you personally, I am willing to help & I'm sure there are other kind and supportive ppl who are willing to help...There are ppl who really care & remember you are never alone...the best think you could have ever done was seek help to your problems...I wish you the best...

Here are some good ideas:
1. Do something that gets your heart rate up a bit like, walking, running, biking, and swimming.
2. Eat Whole, Organic foods like: Broccoli, Cabbage, Organic Brown Rice, Beans, Spinach, Sweet Potato, Apples, and other fruits and vegetables in their Natural State.
3. Avoid eating corn, white bread, white rice, white potatoes, candy, sodas, chips, and anything else that you already know you shouldn
