Cure for Depression?!


Question: Does anybody know what I can do to get rid of this feeling. One of my best friends moved and all I do know is pretty much just watch TV, eat, and sleep. I just feel really depressed and I wated to know if there is anything I can do to make me feel excited to wake up in the morning. I have heard execise is good but I just dont feel good to go out and run or run on the tredmil. What should I do.

Depression may be caused by negative thoughts, poor circumstances, loss of loved ones, genetic factors, biochemical imbalance in the brain, emptiness in heart, unforgiveness, addictions etc.

There are some natural mood lifting food and vitamins that you can take with your drugs. They are:

-multivitamin
-Vitamin B complex pills
- Vitamin C
- GABA (you can get this at a pharmacy) it is a natural neurotransmitter in your brain.
- SAMe
- Calcium
- Magnesium
-Evening Primrose oil
- Flax oil
- Omega 3

try to have some exercise daily. Go into the sun. Talk with friends. Pray to Jesus, he gives you peace and lifts your mood. These are scientifically proven to work.

- Listen to soothing music on a couch.
- have aromatherapy
- eat healthily, oats, wheats, brown rice, more fish, chicken, lots of vegetables and fruits and other natural food, less oil, no sugar, no deep fried stuff, less red meat
- drink lots of filtered or bottled water
have a pet
- cultivate new hobbies
- do not take alcohol and avoid caffeine
- tackle your problem that is giving you depression. Problem solve with a counselor or friend to reduce the magnitude of the problem.
- Every time you catch yourself thinking negatively, think what is the most positive way of expressing your feelings and thoughts.
- Forgive others, release all bitterness and release all grudges, love God and love others
- Do a kind deed each day. Volunteer your service to the elderly, orphans etc
- I know I have said a lot. Take baby step, one step at a time. Give yourself time to get out of depression.

Think positively.

You may want to see a psychiatrist and counsellor to work out your problem. Psychotherapy may help. Prayer does help. Claim healing from Jesus. He loves you.

Placebo for the win? Give me a break...you know what the cure for depression is? Carbon Monoxide in large doses. Jesus is a joke. Report It

  • get outdoors with headphones daily, stay active away from isolation and the t.v.,make friends,join a club or social activity, find hobbies....mingle...mingle...

    depression is a very hard thing to deal with but there is hope wot did u do before u where depressed wot did u enjoy ? music ? dancing ? funny films ? u have to try things that make u feel good everyone gets depressed 1 in 4 people get depressed u r not alone ask ur doc for help medication counseling or both u will get there but it take time just take care of ur self it will pass

    I am getting some good results by using Effexor and Zoloft together. It takes several weeks before you notice the improvement. I became very depressed after being fired from my computer job at age 56. But, the medication is helping me, and I actually enjoy the free time. Too bad it doesn't bring me money.

    i just read science news magazine and studies have proven that aerobic exercise is an aid to help depression. Do group exercise and listen to music.

    Yea i get depressed sometimes you should make some new friends ah.... that went bad for me i ended up friends with street kids hooked on meth and helped strip a car i wish i never did i hate thefts. Depression leads to bad things like drinking and drugs i was going to clubs at 15. What you should do is start going to the city center and having fun but be careful who you befriend

    I think you need to listen music and try to express that feeling along with that songs and little bit dance and helps you to have exercise. Treat yourself that you are special..

    i know it must be hard for you to lose your best friend, but you can still call/ email her, right? And you have other friends that you like hanging out with right? Plan a night out for you and your BFFs to get together and just have fun. Yo need to get a hobby or get involved in something in the community. That you are not sitting around all day. Look forward into the future, not back to what has happened and what was hard in your life. It is ok if you don't want to run outside or on a treadmill, but staying active is key. Maybe you could talk to a family member or a good friend about you feelings and if you think it is depression. They will want to help you out. I hope this helps Good luck and God bless!!! =D

    The worse thing about depression is all the things you should do to feel better are the things you don't feeling like doing! Being active, involved and committing to things is what works.

    You need to be brave and do what you don't want to do.

    You need to take those first hard steps and get off you lounge and be active. Walk, run, bike, gym, yoga... what ever half way interests you even if you've never been into exercise now it the time to start.

    Start catching up with friends and family who you have been hiding from. Go to a cafe, their home, a picnic or what ever just get social again.

    Commit to things and keep your promise. Having people rely on you is important to make you feel worthy again.

    The days will get longer and lonelier laying on your lounge, you have taken the hardest step... recognizing you are feeling depressed and knowing something needs to be done to change. Keep going.

    Yoga... its as good as any exercise and its also relaxing.
    I would try and get yourself out more, try and make some new friends... noone is gonna replace your best mate I know, but if you don't youll get worse and worse and it is so not worth it.
