What up with a psychiatrist that don't want to see a patient?!
Question: anyways i was getting my husband help from a psychiatrist from a clinic in stead of a shrink some where else. anyways he was refusing to see him two different times and telling him to go back to his old psychiatrist. after i talked to them when they called i was arguing with them for telling my husband to go somewhere else. this is when he has not even seen my husband for the first time. anyways they call back and say well the dr. had looked over your reviews and lalala he will see you. now why wouldn't he see him in the first place. is this a scam? now i have him going to see a psychologist. whats the difference between a psychiatrist and psychologist? am i doing somthing right? can a psychologist let our family doctor know what dosage he is suppose to be on? is abilify a good med.

okay cancell all the appointments before you do anything else.
make an appointment with your husband's DOCTOR to get a proper referral.....
make a list of questions for your doctor and ask him he will know the difference.
no one should be giving out meds without the doctor knowing about it first.
A phychiatrist is concerned with mental disorders and illnesses while a phycologist is concerned with the mental and the behaviors. Why did your hubby stop going to his old doctor? Most likely they talked to his old doctor, and had agreed he should go back and continue treatment with him. Then after you insisted reconsidered. Good luck!
