How can I stop my husband from being such a bad loser at board games?!

Question: He sulks for the rest of the evening and it kills the mood for the rest of the night

Answers: He sulks for the rest of the evening and it kills the mood for the rest of the night

Ignore him when he acts like that. Like a kid. When he acts right, then talk to him again. Just an idea..

Simple, don't let him play lol

Don't play, or offer him a treat if he loses!

Promise him a shag if he loses...

That'll perk him up, and you'll win every time!

I've had to ban myself from playing board games because I am evil if I lose.

lift the board and whack him with it ...........and tell him to grow up Xxxx

Just face it, you cant do anything about it, he is a man after all.

they are all the same at the end of the day, BIG KIDS.

Midnight~Angel :)

tyrefitter2000 has the right idea! Alternatively, you could let him win sometimes.

mabey just let him win for a chance, that might help

play wearing the outfit you have on in your little picture. if he starts turning into an ****, just get up and walk around the table times...seriously, he'll totally forget...uhmmm...what were we talking about?...

Occassionaly let him win (deliberately loose), its the male ego!! They hate loosing at anything!

just laugh at him.

The way you can stop that is tell him to actualli examine the move before he does it, or if its something like monopoly, stop wasting his money on unnecessary things.

I may be wrong, but does he feel like a loser in other areas of his life as well? Somehow I don't think is simply just the fact that he loses at a board game.

Let him win what's the dif..plus you can always have sex afterwards win or lose

You can't. You just have to let him win occasionally - just don't tell him you let him win on purpose.

Well if the answers to these forums remain constant.. i found that with kids playing games that requires teams are fun like pictionary.. that way the blame spreads and the other kids know how to act with each other when they lose if need be fix the teams where there is always a mix of good players with bad players .. not good players vs bad players.. another thing is play games that have a continuous replay value like taboo that way if by chance he loses then he doesn't have time to seethe much cause another round pops up fairly quickly. Stay away from games like Monopoly that usually takes hours to finish and usually has one victor. Also stay away from vs games like checkers or chess. if he is that sensitive then being called dumb as well as a bad player doesn't help either. Games that usually are fun even with soar losers.. besides pictionary and taboo are twister (cause if one falls they all fall usually) um...bingo..(90% luck 10% pay attention) if he has add or is incredibly unlucky then yea stay away from this one) Uno, uno is fun. you can play teams or free for all. tons of card games like spades you have a partner. If absolutely nothing works good pl fashioned positive reinforcement works.. consolation prizes

Let him win occasionally.
