I think she might be bipolar. U said she is happy for 2days then she is sad. Talk 2 her about it.

yes

maybe. maybe not.
A mental disease is often thought of as anyone who has any kind of problem meaning anything from psychosis to depression, the difference is, depression is a personality disorder not really a mental disease.
To be perfectly honest though if she wants to find this out the only thing she can do is seek professional help, I suggest you encourage that.

You most certainly let her family know and now .She in her own way is shouting for help. She is a very troubled young woman and is in need of professional help fast. She is your friend sweetie do the right thing.

Yes she does. And yes you can tell someone. She needs help before it's too late.

She probably has a low self esteem and sounds like she is suffering from Depression.

This is treatable, but she needs to be evaluated by a psychiatrist or her family doc to determine what meds she needs to be on.

It's not her fault that she is Depressed. It is an illness that is caused by an imbalance of brain chemicals.

Urge her to seek out treatment. Many people THINK of killing themselves, but never act on it and they are not considered mentally ill.

Urge her to get some help so she can begin to enjoy life.

Why does her being 19 mean she can't tell her family? My son is 25, and I'd sure want to know if he were having this serious a problem.

She needs the help of a psychologist at the very least, possibly a psychiatrist. This is often the result of some traumatic experience earlier in life that hasn't been dealt with. Antidepressants will help, but counseling is also needed.

I hope your friend gets help soon before she does herself some serious harm.

Sounds alot like bipolar. Up and happy, then down and sad. Mood swings. Back and forth all the time. Get her to see a doctor. There's alot of meds that control it now.

Be prepared to deal with two personalities in your friend. You never know which one will be around for how long.

I would probably think bipolar disorder, but i am not a psychiatrist so i don't want to try to diagnose anyone. I would suggest that you sit down and talk to her about your concern and suggest that she see a doctor. If she goes to a doctor and tells them about her symptoms and behaviors, they may refer her to a psychiatrist so that they prescribe medication if the case is severe enough. Another option would be to go and get counseling. Talk therapy can be very effective, and a great outlet for expressing emotions.

I hope your friend gets better=]
