I currently work at a call center and it is the most dragging and unpleasent job ever, the pay is great, but......so I think you're just a little dissapointed of the outcome, and I say if you really like kids you should pursue that dream, you don't need to be very smart you just need to do what you like with a passion :)

To have a really fruitful life, you need to do what you enjoy the most.
You are the best judge to assess what you want to do.
Being smart or not smart doesn't matter. You just have to put in the efforts, if you really want to do it.

your alright you will probably change careers several times in your life ...go exploring....you'll find your niche in life

If you love love love children then go for it . Your love for kids will melt away any doubts. Believe in yourself

Being a Child care worker tends to be a thankless task and the wages are relatively low, more so when you consider the critical role you can play in child development and the responsibility for managing the well being of children throughout the day. I think parents see child care as essential but expensive and assume the workers and owners are pulling big bucks. Certainly the workers are not, although there will always be exceptions.

So if you are looking for satisfaction from the career, then make sure you don't expect pay packet recognition and that most of your satisfaction will have to come from the valuable time you spend with the kids.

That said, no way I could do call centre work or put up with lousy managers.

Maybe a junior primary school (year 1 say) teaching would be rewarding?

Good luck, merry Christmas and I hope the new year brings great opportunities for you, so you will want to work

Be safe, be sage
