Ughhh.... i want to get people to change their views of me....?!

Question: hello

i am in 7th grade. my reputation is this really really happy hyper girl who has all the energy in the world. and its FREAKIN ANNOYING!
i want the reputation of being 'chill' or 'cool'... stuff like that. so, i stopped being all hyper and stuff, and everyone got MAD at me, claiming i'm acting weird. soo wat i did is just kinda still talk a lot, but not be as hyper... that worked for months, but people still know me as 'the hyper girl'!!!
i mean, i am a really happy girl, but i dont want this reputation. :(

one thing that contributes to that reputation is my laugh. i have a freakin crazy laugh. it sounds like spongebob's laugh. and i happen laugh a lotttttttt.... people LOVE my laugh, so i dont need to change that, but i think that may be what makes people keep thinking im soo hyperrrrrrrrr

soo.... is it possible to finally change my rep? if so, how?!?!?

thanks sooo much.
happy holidays :)

This can be difficult you want to change your general image. That's fine but is it for the right reasons? If you feel like you need to adapt to become the person you want to be then go for it! If you are changing because you feel that you will be better received, then that is an external force(others) dictating on something
internally personal (your persona) and i do not think that that is healthy!

If you want to change however it will take time. I would wait until after some kind of holiday like the x mas or summer to create a transformation. People will find it easier to accept this way. It also means
deciding what you like about your self and keeping it and literally avoiding the undesirable behaviors for a long period of time until it becomes natural. People will begin to talk and say "gosh hasn't she changed!". You can also expect a back lash hoverer as human nature often does not like change so others may try to put you down and back into your old place. Just ignore them and continue with your desired behavior and over time perceptions will change.

On a more superficial note it also helps to change a little visually in line with what you feel comfortable with of course! So change your hair and a few items in the wardrobe to give you a look that is still you but improved on yesteryear. Good luck developing into the person you want to be but i would make it an extension of the current you x

Why would you want to honey?? You sound like a load of fun! I would have given anything to be like you when I was your age. I was so shy, introverted and sad all the time that it was nearly paralyzing. Love yourself for who you are, and others will love you too. It sounds like they already do! Don't change who you are, just change the way you see yourself. :)

if you try to please everyone you'll go insane.
