Did my 12-year old daughter have a panic attack?!

Question: On Friday my daughter told me that she was suffering from shortness of breath, inability to speak for a few minutes, uncontorabble tears trembling, and that her heartbeat was going extremely fast. The teacher said that my daughter felt mentally alone. According to the teacher after a student gave her a hug she started having these for minutes. It has happened before and the teacher thought she had asma?

If my daughter did have this what should I do? I'm thinking of going to the doctor with her but is it severe enough?

GO TO THE DOCTOR, YOU WOULDN"T WANT TO RISK ANYTHING

ya...it's not that it was majorly serious, but it wouldn't hurt to get it checked out. i hope she's ok! :] happy holidays

I think you should go to the Doctor. And it "asthma" not "asma".

she cud be having cases of depression and a breakdown at a very young age....try to get her to open up bout any problems or upsetting feelings she could be having at the moment........................i experienced the same kind of symptoms when i went through a case of mental breakdown once....but u shud prob still check it out with the doctor in case she does have health issues --
