To have a loud "voice" in your head that is not welcome,is hostile and no one else experiences it or believes your accounts of it is enough to near paralyze a person.

The emotions that are heightened when a person is schitzophrenic depends on who the person is, what caused the condition, and several other things. For example, if it was cuased by autism (which sometimes happens), it would be all of the emotions would be heightened, or they can be dulled for all of the personalities.
To my knowledge, paranoia is one of the major emotions that are hightened.
