Hello. I have a problem?!

Question: I can't urinate when I'm in public or guest house. I only can urinate at home, or if I know that nobody really at home or sleep. I went to urologist and he said everything is good. Now my problem became bigger. Now even at home or when nobody completely not around me I hardly can relax to urinate. I know that nobody around me I'm at home, but still I have to wait like 3 to 4 min to start urinate. What happened now I can hardly urinate when I am at home or completely alone. Maybe I can't relax at all now. Please if someone know what I have to do please help. And what problem I have with my mind or something. Any solution or tell me what to do. Thank You.

see a therapist. honestly. do it.

lol i have problems with this too

do you suffer anxiety otherwise in life?

This is actually quite a common problem. It is a type of anxiety issue. Some men have this problem at urinals, but often find if they go into a stall they can urinate without problems.

If you continue to have this problem, ask your doctor to refer you to a psychologist or psychiatrist who can work with you to overcome this. Cognitive behaviour therapy is often very successful at curing you of this type of problem..

I have this problem in public sometimes but never at home. I try to think about something else other than I need to urinate and it works most of the time.

don't be embarrass just pee taking a poop is the most important

If it is not prostatic, this problem is,for sure, psychiatric. This is in the domain of so called "obsessive-compulsory neuroses".Always,it's a symbol of something subconsciousness.Probably, there is some king of connection with "fear from ejaculation",or "fear from pregnancy",or "fear from parents",or "fear from public ejaculation".
Everything I "said" about "fears" has to be checked from psychoanalyst, who will find the solution in few sessions and, probably, with no medications.
It's like that because there is a need of additional information required for "the case",an here is not enough "space" for that. That's why I've proposed psychoanalyst.

That problem was mine, from nerves. Worried somebody would hear the peeing sounds, thus they possibley would think of the crotch, i couldn't pee . Breathing excercise gives more relaxation, inhale, exhale. enableing urination.

i agree,Try therapy.

just turn on the shower or the froset in the sink when you urinate ,so is can keep your mind relax and people may think that you just washing your hand. just use the stall when you in public .do not stand in front of urinal

See anxiety treatments, at * ezy-build (below) in section 6. Set yourself a fixed limit for worrying about any particular subject, (say; 15 minutes) after which, resolve firmly to refuse to even consider that subject again on that day: realise and accept that to do otherwise would be counterproductive to your mental health, and enjoyment of life. Use the technique for reprogramming negative thoughts and internal monologue (self talk), on pages 2, and 2L, to help you in this, and consider carrying a wide rubber band in your pocket: put it on your wrist; stretch, and release, as a means of reinforcing it, and speeding up the process, re-pocketing it afterwards. Practice one of the relaxation methods on pages 2, 11, 2c, or 2i, daily, and when needed. Also, give the EFT a good tryout, to see if it helps you. "Even though I currently have problems urinating, I deeply and completely accept myself". There is also a version for use in public places, (if you like, you can claim to have a headache, as you massage/lightly tap your temples). Section 53, and pages 2, 2.q and 2.o at * http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris also refer. Become a "stall man" if necessary, for a while, until the anxiety treatments take effect, and make the following sound to yourself, preferably aloud, but not very loud: Sssssssss, at the same time as you visualise a stream of water flowing out of a hose. An alternative is to listen to music on an MP3, or transistor radio, so you are focusing on the music.

The condition is called "shy bladder." I have to deal with it myself sometimes. I find that if I have to go in a public place, that I don't have a problem if I go into one of the stalls with a door. As far as being at home, I find that if I sit on the toilet instead of standing up, things work better.

Good luck to you!
