Im so scared....?!


Question: i am scared that i will forget things.... i know it sounds crazy but its true. im so scared that im going to forget what i am studying that i dont even understand the simplest passage. i dont know wut to do. i am 18. i am so scared i am going to flunk out of all my exams becuz of this. my family just thinks i am careless and dont concentrate enuff on things. they mock me. what shud i do? i am so terrified. plz help me some1......

forget about grades, forget about exams and forget about what your family or anyone else will think. Read the chapter, or whatever it is, with an interest, not because of a grade, but because you are interested to read and learn what it has to offer. Trust me you will do much better. You are just having stress now

OK first of all stop and take a few deep breaths cause i think your just nervous about your exams and pressured to prove yourself to your family so just breath and remember that everything is gonna be ok, ok? ok, great

Try carrying a little notebook, and write in it the important part that you want to remember. Just the act of writing it will let you stop worrying about forgetting--and then you won't forget! It might help to talk to your school counselor, if you have one. You may find that there is something you actually WANT to forget, and when you find out what that is, this other thing will just go away! It will help a lot if you can talk to another adult that is not your family, and who you can trust.

Well, rationalize it. Only effective problems are real. if and only if, you start forgetting stuff, should you start to act on it. If that happens one day, you will visit a doctor, who will prescribe the necessary treatment. You can take memory suplements if that helps chilling... My honest advice, rationalize. That is not a problem until it becomes one. Deal with problems, not phantasies.
