I have no motivation, could it be my depression again?!

Question: im on winter break currently, so im back at home and theres not much to do. at school i was much busier with my roommates and everything i guess but now its just me and my parents at home. im back to being really lazy. i wake up at 1 and then do nothing all day, then it gets dark at like 5 and my day seems so short. all i do is watch tv and eat. i cant seem to motivate myself to do anything. i worked out this morning but that was a huge acomplishment for me, im gonna try to do it every morning. im even avoiding phone calls from friends lately. i just dont feel like seeing anyone, putting on makeup or making myself look decent lol, or far worse having to drive anywhere. just feel tired all the time. :(

Remember, your feelings follow your thoughts. If you are constantly analyzing life instead of living it you will be depressed. Try living each moment one moment at a time. If you are thinking of the past your feelings will lead to guilt, etc. If you are constantly thinking of the future, you will feel fear, doubt, etc. Stay in the moment. Live life, don't analyze it. Remember, thoughts are just that..they only have meaning when we attach meaning to them. Think of your thoughts as night time dreams...just let them pass and don't attach too much meaning to them. Start exercising...you will be fine. I will say a prayer for you!

Sounds like depression. It is very hard to get motivated when you feel the way you do. I found the best way to get motivated is with smaller steps. If you are getting up at 1, try for 12:30. If a lot of people are calling you, set a reachable goal as to how many times you will actually answer the phone.

could be depression but its best to see a specialist

I am the same exact way, I've had issues lately. Lost job, girl etc etc... Well, I've been at home and not wanted to do anything...just wake up, get on computer for a short time, barely eat, and go back to sleep.I even find it hard talking myself into just taking a shower, I just don't want to do anything.. I'm pretty sure this is all depression related..sound familiar?

Yes, it sounds like depression because you are cooped up at home all day and don't get out . this causes you to be more depressed so you refuse to go out at all, which feeds a vicious cycle.
