Family fear?!


Question: i leave on a trip with my mom for some days, we will be flying there and returning on newyears... i can't get the thought of something bad out of my mind, my dad getting in a acedant while we are away, our jet crashing-but we survive and my dad thinking were dead and commiting suicide....i have no idea i cant get this extreme fear out of my head its really weird, i can't cancel the trip and i cant get these thoughts to go away..help!!

this is somewhat peculiar phobic disorder which causes such thoughts and it is mainly due to overaffection that you have on your dad dont worry it will not happen and it will be not a true fact if you start on the journey and once you reach the destiny with safety you will get releived of such phobia. you start to read about right brothers adventures to make aeroplane and the amount they sufferd to acheive it. then you will realise that we are after all flying more sophisthicated and safe flights now a days it is a rare entity to conceive such ideas and you select more safe and well renowned flights with goodnames so you will avoid such fears. first of all have confidence in life then you will believe everything .we say i will be doing after three years why and how it is purely based on cofidence that we will live till then, hundered year plans are made politically , simply because of confidence ok moreover you better consult a counsellor and some guide to avoid mistaking things and having difficulties in progressing.goodluck bye

Its just anxiety before the trip. Don't let it worry you.

never get obsessed with a thought or you might
end up suffering OCD (obsessive-compulsive disorder,the so-called cancer of psychiatric diseases).
try to relax (to activate the relaxation-response cascade, opposing to the fight or flight response), take abdominal breaths(do the tummies), and be inert to your thoughts, nor in the favor of them neither opposing them, just let them come and go, don't hang on to a thought. your consciousness is the sky, the thoughts are the clouds,they don't belong to the sky,the just wander around.
personally I do not suggest simple conditioning techniques of behavioral therapy.
be calm my friends, we are just notes in this great symphony
of existence,don't try and you WILL BE harmonious.

i think that u have an overeactive imagination..... mainly due to ur fear of heights or travelling..... but i really think u need to cut down on ur TV hours..... chillax.... everything will be fine. have a nice vacation! try dousing in a hot bath for a few hours and rationalize ur thoughts. i'll keep my fingers crossed for u!

Have a talk with both of your parents. It's just anxiety.
