I am into a form of bdsm and need a psychiatrist because i have been feeling dep!
Question: i feel that a lot of how i feel in life relates to my role as a submissive in the bdsm world. i want to find a psychiatrist in orlando, fl who could probably understand this or at least be comfortable with the idea of bdsm. i would hate to be classified as a sex-freak or something. Does anyone have a suggestion or maybe a doctor you have worked with (and are into bdsm yourself?) thanks.

You are not a freak, and whether you recognize it or not, your depression and lack of self esteem probably put you in your submissive role to begin with. It is not a healthy situation that you are in, and quite honestly, you will be much happier if you break free and get some new friends. Have you tried church? You obviously are very intelligent since you are trying to seek help for your issues. Try a Christian counselor, because they could also guide you to a church that would work for you and give you a whole new set of friends. Good Luck!
