She'd bleed to death. There is a major artery in your tongue. If she completely bit off a chunk of her tongue she could possibly choke on it.

ummm probably she thinks she will bleed to death by biting her tongue off the simpliest way would probably be to bite your veins in your wrist it would almost like cutting them

some people cut their tongue in the middle to have that snake tongue right? so i think it'll not gonna kill her. it's an anime for crying out loud.
The stub of the tongue is ment to recoil into the throat and choke the person. There is nothing for anyone to grab to save her.
That is why if someone has an epiliptic fit, it is suggested to put a roll of cloth in their mouth to stop them biting their tongue.

You would bleed to death. Id imagine bleeding out through your tongue would be a really slow way to kill yourself and not the simplest way. Jumping would be much simpler or bashing your head against something.
If you literally bite your tongue you can choke yourself with it.. And plus the blood loss. But yeah.. Ive heard of people choking themselves with their tongue when they cannot to this any other way.
Wow, that's really scary. Nevertheless, I don't think it would work. There have been many stories in which characters lost their tongues and survived (ex: Titus Andronicus, the story of Philomel, etc.). I suppose a person could bleed to death, but it would be slow and painful. To kill yourself without items, the best way would be to jump from a cliff or tall building.
