Is there anyone out there that thinks self harm is ok up to a point?!

Question: Poison is probably OK up to a point too....but you don't necessarily know when you've gone too far until it's too late.

Deep, intensive therapy is in order here....usually self-harm comes from no sense of self/abuse background, or borderline personality disorder, which is really hard to treat because those patients usually "split" a lot--love ya, hate ya, hmm, I'll sue my doctor.

The sooner you get help the better your chances for feeling good without self harm. If it becomes a long term habit you can expect tougher times ahead.

yeppers, do you mean like cutting and stuff???

i think its ok, if you cut all the time, even when your happy... then thats thats the point

I do.

no never....

There is a school of thought that considers self-harm less negative up to a point. If the harm is controlled (e.g. cuts shallow, precise, small) and done for emotional release then as long as it is "supervised" by medics then it's permissible. I don't think anyone actually condones self-harm, including those who do it, but yes, I think there is a point when to do it is less harmful than not to.

In my oppinion it's okay if it's not often and not severe and doesn't interfere greatly in your life.

The answer is NEVER! It is never ok to harm yourself and it is not the right way handle situations that seem too much for you.

if i didnt self harm i probably would have killed myself.... so i think it is ok (to a point)...

but there are better ways to deal with life

no its really not ok...it only just makes everything worse in the long run...

yes. it makes sense to me.

some self harm is more serious than others but that doesnt make any of it healthy or okay. theres healthy alternatives to self harm....like counseling or writing in a diary.. whatever your into but dont go hurting youself physically on top of having emotional pain
