I've heard Wellbutrin can actually help you lose weight.

Well, in my case over the long term I have lost weight while taking Zoloft. (About 70 lbs over the past two years. And yes, I was very overweight to start).

Part of this has been the talk therapy which I have gotten along with my meds (helping me to work out my problems in a more functional way and to change my behaviors toward eating - especially when under stress), and part of it has been working with a national weight loss group/company (which I won't mention in case it violates the guidelines on answering) which provides similar cognitive guidelines as well as group support and dietary advice.

You might also talk with your doctor about your concerns and see what advice they have (they might even be able to recommend a nutritionist to help you).

Good luck and take care,

James

the deppresion it self will cause you to gain weight alot of people eat when they are depressed or just bored some excersizewill help with the weight and the depression it will make you feel better about yourself and relive some of your stress by keeping you buzy replace the depressing things in your life with possitive healthy things and you will get better soon p.s. while medication is there to help people tend to rely on it to much look within yourself for you happiness and try to get away from the drugs it is the only way you can think clearly and truly deal with your problems
