How you get over Depression?!


Question: I been depress about a week now because I just find out two months ago my ex have two kids now and Very jealous of there relationship because she had his babies. I been having short relationships with guys and It turn out that they have new girl in there life and ending up having kids with them, It's up set me allot, I feel so unattractive young woman! I just find out that he is bipolar to.

Counseling/ therapy, medication, exercise and a good diet... there are many ways to help depression- talk to your doctor, he should be able to help. Don't let anyone tell you to just 'get over' depression, it is caused by a chemical imbalance in your brain, it's not just a feeling or state of mind. Please get some help.

see a psychiatrist and a psychologist.

eat sweets. i recommend chocolate because it can mend your broken heart. it truly works!!

you should try going out and having fun, get your mind off of it. excercising is a GREAT way to get rid of depression. and remember that everything happens for a reason and you shouldnt let something like this keep holding you back! good luck!

Go out and buy really nice things for yourself. then go and network with people at work or a party or anywhere people meet people. then find out things you do best to boost your ego, having a big ego is awesome, for you anyways.

i'm sorry to hear that. try talking to friends. exercising may help too; to get your mind off of it. try approaching someone you might like.

You go to a psychiatrist and therapist and you take medication to control it. You don't ever get over it because it is a chemical imbalance.

Depression depends on the person, some people need medication to help overcome it, others just need counseling. Sometimes it just goes away for no reason like it did with me, but I realized that it was awlays there it just changed. I've been depressed almost my entire life and was denied by a professional in the militay medication because I knew it would help me and they just wanted to get rid of me. I wish I knew who to turn to because I know depression isn't my only problem but I don't have insurance or even know of someone who could help me. Your depression does not sound like a chemical imbalance, it just sounds like you are down in the dumps. Those men sound like users anyway and probably have several children with different woman, you should count yourself lucky.

for god sake dont go eat tons of food like some people are sujesting it is very unhealthy for you when your stressed out. quite a problem youve got your probly not unatractive just unlucky if youve been getting guys in the first place

You have to push yourself to do things you know you like (or liked) doing. It'll help lift your spirits. Get busy in a fun project by yourself or with friends. Sooner or later you'll spot a guy you'd like to meet..........

life is long and it aint over untill the fat lady sings. You never know which road is the best to take, you have faith that the road you are on is the one that is right for you. I watched my friend get married and was jealous. Then Have a kid and jealous some more. Then he is divorced, then married again, then divorced, and now married again. So his road was for him. Just keep on keeping on and if it was ment to work out for you it will. Life is long , youth is short. Keep the faith and stay positive.

Talk to a shrink, get a prescription. Find a good friend that will just listen and lend a shoulder. Get a pet, preferably a puppy or a kitten.

well i eat chocolate or maybe ice cream i think that's a great way to get over it but if that dosent work just vent all your feelings out and see what makes you depressed and laugh at the fact that you were mad about that and try to find the right one for you instead of worrying about them

It sounds like you have a case of situational depression. One of the best things you can do to help get yourself out of this slump is to get busy. Find productive things you can do to keep yourself busy and picked up. Voulnteer for a cherity, clean house, go wander around the mall. Get out and do something. Take care of your own mental and physical health. Focuse on doing something positive for yourself. It may be time to take a break from relationships and spend some quality time with yourself. Go to a book store, and find things that catch your interest. Once you become at peace with yourself your interactions with others will fall into place much more smoothly. Remember, it is more important to be happy within your self than to be frustrated and stressed in a realationship.

Try to make new friends that may have a positive impact on your Moods.

#1 issue- depression is like a diet. There is no pill or secret words that will cure you. Counseling is a good idea.
ok are we talking bipolar or depressed? Depression is a mood disorder in which feelings of sadness, loss, anger or frustration interfere with everyday life for an extended time. If you are having a hard time shaking this feeling, see a counselor.
