What do I do when I feel depressed and am studying for exams?!

Question: and I dont know why I am depressed.

Answers: and I dont know why I am depressed.

When you are under alot of stress for a long period of time, the chemicals in your brain chance making you feel this way. This is a cycle and has to be stopped before you get worse. First rule is to get busy doing anything, dont' stand still and you will see yourself feeling normal again. Take vitamin B12 with St. Johns Wart together before going to bed to restore the chemical balance in your brain. Take both on a full stomach. Make sure you get at least 20min of sunlight each day. Eat foods that are very nutritious, veggies, fish, nuts. Avoid junk food and chocolate. Avoid anything with caffeine in it. If its unbearable, get a prescription from your doctor to help boost the seratonin (feel-good chemical in your body) levels in your body. Teach yourself to see depression coming and stop it in its tracks.

Sounds like it's stress related. Do something that makes you happy. Listen to music, watch a movie, hang out with friends, talk to friends on the computer or phone. Exercise has been known to really decrease stress levels so you could also go for a run.

Get up - take a deep breath. Run around the block. Drink a cup of tea and break your studies up so you dont have to cram.

Studying for exams can depress anyone! take breaks, go for a short walk and get back at it. Exams will be over eventually and you can move on with your life. There's a light at the end of the tunnel and your light is the day AFTER exams.
