What should I do?I need help?!


Question: I am 15 really.I am suicidal right now!The last time this happened I overdosed and was put in a pyschiatric hospital for kids and teens.I was dating an 30 something year old man that used me for sex.I have to go to court January 3rd for truancy.I dont wanna go back to a pyschiatric hospital because it was terrible they dont treat people right.I've been to talk to a pyschiatrist but they are terrible and make me feel worse even my mom agrees they are terrible.They sit and look at me like im stupid!What should I do?I am so lost.

Please note, the nutrition things I mention will do the same things to your brain that a pill will do- only without the horrible side affects. YOU DON'T NEED PILLS FOR DEPRESSION, despite what your doctor says. If you need pills, then why do so many people do the things I mention below and never need to take medication for depression because it goes away (including me) ? Think about it, your doctor can't make any money by prescribing exercise and fish oil, he makes loads of money by recommending you drugs.

Nutrition-wise: To help you out, get a multivitamin with iron, take at least 6-10 grams of fish oil a day (this REALLY helps, I encourage you to do more research on it as it has helped me a great deal and is a good price), a b-50 complex, and start exercising for at least 2 hours a week (this one REALLY helps), and get in the sun at least 30 minutes a day (and expose as much skin as possible for vitamin d). Sleep with drapes closed and in complete darkness(this sounds crazy, but it increases melatonin which causes you to sleep better) and get at least 1/2 hour sunlight in morning to wake your body up and help you sleep better at night. Get enough sleep 6-9 hours, however much your body needs without an alarm clock. Get 10 glasses of water a day Look this stuff up if you need second opinions. Much of depression is a sign of something wrong in your body, it can't function as well because things are missing that it needs. A good way to solve it is by adding those thing in. This takes a few weeks to really feel the affects, but it is so worth it and it gets better as time goes on.

Then, get a counselor and do not take any drugs they tell you to. The things above do the same chemical reaction in the brain, but with far less side affects. Get the counselor just to take about things. Believe me, I know that they will pressure you into drugs, but they get so much money from that. Let them know you are working on your nutrition and just want to talk about your problems. You really need to talk about your problems, depression is many times caused by emotional problems. By having someone to help you through and understand and deal with those problems, you will help yourself feel better and grow as a person making you more capable of resolving your problems in the present and in the future. Depression is usually a sign something needs to be addressed and as those things are addressed, you will begin to feel better over time.

Depression is best helped as a combination of the healthy things I described above AND counseling of the emotional components, not just one or the other. The work in synergy, as you improve your diet it gives you more energy and enthusiasm to resolve what is really bothering you. Don't just forget about your emotional problems just when you begin to feel better because the problems will flare up again, they don't stop just because you feel a little better. And don't stop the healthy living once you feel better, either. This will help you feel better FOR LIFE. It will help you weather many future storms as your body will be better equipped for things and will handle things better.


Some extra info:

Exercise works just as good as meds for depression. You have to do it 30 minutes 3-5 times a week though. Look it up on google, several major university studies have concluded this. No need to pay money for meds that will only eventually deplete your brain of the very nuerotransmitters it needs to feel better. And then leave you feeling just as bad as before.


Get a pet. Another's company will surely lift your spirits and talk with friends. Journal writing helps. Music. Things that make you feel better. Nature helps, spirituality.

Depression has many reasons, but many of them cause lowered seritonin and dopamine and these are some ways to increase them cheaply without side effects. Some of these things start to take effect after a few days and you will feel much better. I've been there and just want you to know that there are other ways to deal than paying for meds that may or may not work and then you have to take another one and then you have to wait a few weeks to see if it kicks in, you have to go back to the Dr to reevaluate, and then the side affects (short term and long term).

You are not stupid sweetheart. Please go to the web site I posted below. I do think you need some counseling. Not a pyschiatrist, but a therapist. One you and your mom can go to together, for family therapy together.
When my son was young, we went through this as a family, I understand. But when my youngest son was 21 yrs. old, he committed suicide. Please, go to this site below and read the whole thing.

first, you are a precious human being. dont destroy yourself. God created you for a reason, and he loves you, as well as everyone around you. what exactly are you seeking? do you feel unloved? please get your life under control now. you are important to this world, and you control your destiny. please realize that you need to complete school for you and you only. education is something that NO ONE can take away. and besides the fact that you will be doing something for you and you will be able to take care of yourself after high school and college. please seek a counselor at school, or go to a minister at any church. please dont destroy something so precious as yourself. may God be with you.

You are important, smart and talented. God cares for you and you should trust him. He will help you out. He promised in Matthew 6 that if you would love him he would take care of ever thing else. The suicidal thoughts you have are attacks form the devil to destroy your life. I'll be praying for you and God will give you strength to pull you through this if you trust him.
