Anyone on mental health meds?!

Question: and what is your average cost? I know I most likely need some, I was on Zoloft in the early 90's, and it seemed to work, but side effects that I couldn't cope with (sexual) I Take Lamictal for Epilepsy, I pay $100 per month (with insurance) it's 4-5 hundred without insurance, i'm worried that I simply can't afford to be on another med.

i use stelazine now and its pack is $3 here.

Ask your doctor to try a generic drug first.
They don't cost as much.

I am. I'm on Prozac and Risperdal. I don't think they're really working. I think they're making me feel worse. I heard that Prozac can give you constipation and have sexual side effects. So I'm concerned and don't really want to take anymore. Last night my stomach hurt all night and I wasn't able to go to sleep until the morning.

Is anyone else here taking Prozac and/or Risperdal and experiencing similar conditions ?

My husband is on risperdal and it works great for him. Sometimes he has trouble sleeping, but I don't think it's the risperdal. It is expensive though as are all meds like this. Perhaps your doctor will even have some free samples he can give you.
