How can i concentrate more?!


Question: i have depression, which probably doesn't help, but i have very poor concentration. the psychiatrist told me, as i get very stressed out with work and don't let myself go out at all for fear i will fail everything, to do a timetable, and give myself slots for work and then slots for break and time to go out. but when i try to work i cannot concentrate, i get distracted by stupid things. i often find myself sat staring into space. the psychiatrist told me to have strict time limits on work and break, but that means that when i work, i keep checking how much time i have left, even if i know only a couple of minutes have passed.

what can i do to concentrate?

Find something that keeps you concentrated, be it a hobby or a passion. Music keeps me concentrated and I am always very very off in space/in my own world. You have to find something youre good at that can keep you thinking and wondering.

Try to get yourself more modivated in what you are doing. Do not focus on time, as when you do, it just makes it seem a whole lot longer.

keep in mind that a prolonged concentration can also lead to nervous breakdown. what we need to do is to work with balance , always keeping in view our health. just break your work in parts, and whenever necessary , postpone it if needed. avoid doing things in hurry. nobody knows what changes are about to come in our thinking as well as in our working styles in the years to come.
