a push-over... possibly a co-dependant...

Well, weirdly, probably another sort of narcissist, who might well be co-dependent.. In the original myth of Narcissus, from which the narcissism complex was named, the beautiful youth Narcissus is loved by a nymph. Owing to the jealousy of a goddess, she is condemned to be able to do nothing more than repeat what others have said - to be an echo. So that's her name, Echo, and she represents a particular type of Narcissism. You may also see people who seem to be 'martyrs', always doing things for everyone else and 'I never get any thanks' - you probably know the type! That's pure narcissism, just not what we think of as narcissism.

These 'thin-skinned' narcissistic types are very sensitive to the reactions of others, terribly aware of other people and their reactions, hate being the centre of attention and are easily hurt and ashamed. I think this is the closest to the 'opposite' of narcissism. Certainly, co-dependency is very possible.
