Ever imagine people are talking about you?!

Question: Ive always had low self esteem but wherever i go i always think someone is saying something horrible about me, sometimes i can tell that their definently bitching about me beacuse i can see them looking at me but other times i dont know if i imagine it but im convinced they say nasty things about me and i end up believing its all true. If im not imagining it im worried becuae this happens a few times a day especially when i go to parties and stuff.
Does anyone else feel like this?

I know all too well how you feel. I have the same feelings as you have about other people talking about me. In fact, I had to leave my job early yesterday because I was physically and psychologically threatened by a customer(I work at a supermarket). And though I am paranoid schizophrenic and bi-polar,and I know it's not true, sometimes I wonder if most people are bigoted jerks, and ignorant a-holes.

What I try to do is: consider the source. If someone has a problem with you, maybe THEY'RE the ones with the problem, and it's a lot worse than yours. If they have to cut you down to build themselves up, they're the real losers-no doubt about it.

The best way to deal with these people is to keep silent-don't give them a wall to bounce their ball against. Give those people enough rope-eventually they'll hang themselves with their immature behavior.

What also gives me comfort is the Bible verses from James 4:11-12: "Speak not evil one of another... He that...judgeth his brother, speaketh evil of the law, and judgeth the law:but if thou judge the law, thou art not a doer of the law, but a judge. There is one lawgiver, who is able to save and to destroy: WHO ART THOU THAT JUDGEST ANOTHER?" If anybody can't get the message after that , well , we should feel sorry for THEM,because they are denying Scripture, which is God-inspired.Unless;they think they are better than God;then they REALLY have problems, according to the First Commandment.

I just wanted to give you a little ammunition against those people who choose to give you a hard time. I'm rooting for you! Good luck! and don't let the a-holes get you down!!!

I'm not imagining

YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY RIGHT. People DO talk abd b9tch, and say horrible things.

YOU HAVE TO STOP WORRYING ABOUT IT.

It's not a feeling, and it's not an imagination. its much more.

It's reality also mixed with paranoia and fear.

It probably happens 2 out of 10 times, and YOU think it happens 7 out of 10 times.
It's reality.

are you imagining that your imagining?

No, I know they are, but hey. they couldn't pick a better topic!

people talk abt anything, stop warring and be confedent of urself, ur better than them

I've felt like that too......you just have to be proud of who you are and if no one likes it screw them. As long as you know you are a good person what do you care what anyone else thinks!

you maybe a very noticeable person and it's not that they are talking about you it that they are admiring you or noticing your uniqueness!

I was a bit like you once.. but that was when I smoked way too much weed... it was called paranoia!

have you considered asking a Friend if people realy are talking about you?

this question is in the mental health section for a reason.. if the problem that you are having persists I would seriously consider seeing a doctor.. today's day and age every 2nd person is born with a chemical imbalance in their head this maybe one reason why...
