How can you rid yourself of an addiction to pornography?!

Question: Start with eliminating the source.

Put a block on all porn sites on your computer and destroy any porn you may have in your house.

Any addiction fills some sort of void as it engages pleasure centers we are otherwise missing elsewhere. Try to find other pleasure centers in activities or hobbies.

Exercise is a good way to start, or finding a healthy relationship with someone.

Whatever you do, don't replace one addiction with another.

self control and discipline. it is very hard to abstain from sexual contact, especially after one is no longer a virgin. it can be done however. Replace your addiction to porn with a hobby. (I recommend T'ai Chi)

think of anything else...keep yourself busy...engage in active sports with your friends and eventually you will get over your addiction....its hard but its not impossible if you put your will in it

Shiiit, son.
Watch '2 girls and a cup.'
you'll never think of porno again.

just trust me.

It's like any other addiction. A good place to start is with yourself. If you are really determined to kick that habit there are numerous programs ranging from religious to not so religious. Check with local churches or civic organizations. The local AA could get you started. But none of that really matters unless you are determined to overcome the addiction. No one can really do it for you. Good luck.

Not to be insulting, you should simply stop and ask yourself what void in yourself the porn replaces. Recovery from any addiction is an exercise in self-discovery. There can be no other way.

Every guy experiences problems with lust for sex. The way I see it, you've got to fill your schedule with OTHER things that you really enjoy doing. Weather it's cars, video games, politics or sports. If you really think about it, you'll find there are just as many times when you DON'T think about sex. It's just a matter of adjusting the habit. It's only when the things you do for fun no longer matter that it really becomes a problem. If you've suddenly gone from doing skateboard tricks and video games, and now it's all, porn-porn-porn...THEN there's a problem.

You need to seek out counseling specifically for that.
