You may be having anxiety attacks
try sublingual vitamin B12
you could try drinking chamomile tea to help relax too.
and learn to leave the past in the past.

dont think of the past

It's called Post-traumatic stress. You need to deal with whatever happened in the past so that it doesn't sabotage you.

I studied this at the University. In your mind when you think of a stressful event, the same reaction you had the first time it happened, you will reexperince the same feelings.
Doesnt work for everything, or no one would leave their house if you know what I mean.
It has been proven in people with post tramatic stress disorder.
There is nothing you can do to stop the reaction except not thinking about the situation.
If it was really bad you might want to seek out a medical professional.

That is anxiety or maybe even panic attack and yes a doctor would prescribe medicine. I don't take medicine either so I know how you feel.First of all try not to dwell on the past. If you live in the past you loose your future. If you do start to feel anxiety just try to relax your body and breath deep slow breaths and just remember that you are in control!Only you can control your thoughts. Don't give your self time to day dream. If your mind starts to wonder cast away the thoughts and get busy with something else also exercises helps release stress. Hope this helps.

i had that when i though about the time i rolled a car i think it just brings back ur state of mind when it happened for a sec, i got over it by thinking about it a lot till it didnt bother me anymore

Dave, pretty much everyone I know has a "jolt" when thinking about a past regretful moment. I deal with them by reminding myself of this simple truth: no one else is losing sleep thinking about my past embaressing moments (really, they aren't), so why should I? Then I just "float" a mental image over the bad moment as I remember it again. Something like a meadow. Like re-recording a tape, ya know? Doing this over and over dulls the bad images bit by bit, and it also trains me also to deal with further "jolts" more effectively.

Another trick is to deliberately remember the moment differently. Like if somebody treated me bad, I'll remember them treating me nice. Somehow, I put myself in control. If I was unpopular, then I'll "remember" being popular. Sounds crazy, but their actions belonged to them, but my memory of it belongs to ME. Perception is 9/10ths of our memory anyway, and no two people who experience the same moment remember it the same way, so why not?? !!

Laughing about it also helps. Whatever works.

Happiness is a drug we make by ourselves, like Vitamin D!!

Happy New Year's!!
