When I'm alone in a quiet room, I can hear a lot of voices?!

Question: Guy voices, girl voices, A LOT OF THEM! I can only understand laughter. Other than that, they seem to talk in a different language. And they bother me. I know they're talking about me. Is there something wrong with me? What are they?

My friend who was schizophrenic among other things mentioned something that sounded like talk radio in the background but it was like it was 2 rooms over and couldn't make out any of the words... He called it the radio that always played in his head. He was always ok with it. You have to remember they aren't real, they don't mean anything, and don't let them make you feel afraid. Learn how to question your senses and if something is happening that's never happened before don't assume it's real.

The energy you described is also experienced by schizophrenics and psychedelic users. In a way it's like your tripping only you aren't taking any drugs.

The boundaries of all 5 of your senses are not as set as other peoples. Some of yours might mix together a little creating some really strange experiences. Have you ever tasted a color or have you ever seen someone else's energy?

It's kind of a strange gift that has been given to you. It isn't necessarily a bad thing but you should still go to a doctor and get it checked out.

My first instinct was to wonder whether you have a psychic gift, but the fact that you assert you know they're talking about you, indicating paranoia, makes me think perhaps you are becoming/at risk of becoming unwell. I really think you need to confide in a family member or friend as soon as you can and go to see a doctor.

What you're hearing in a quiet room is the random noise of blood flowing through the capillaries of your inner ear. And for whatever reason your brain is trying to interpret this as language and laughter.

To hear this noise much better, put a cup over your ear and it will amplify this sound. Much like hearing the ocean in a seashell. Then you'll understand that its just random noise and not voices. To assume this is voices is a bad way of thinking and will really mess up your mental health if you don't get a grip.

You may also have high blood pressure so you might want to get that checked out.

Edit: Did you try the cup thing? Do you recognize the noise? "Oh THIS is what I've been hearing all along! Whew I thought I was going crazy."

Really, do try to get a grip for your own sake and your mom's sake. Otherwise I really feel bad for your mom. I bet she has enough miseries in her life without having to worry about how she's going to afford having to put you in a mental institution for the rest of your life.
