I just realized that I do really weird things at school?!

Question: So, I'm in sixth grade. I think that I embarrass myself a lot.
1. I put my hair up in the middle of class
2. I sometimes read out loud weirdly
3. I sometimes mess up on prounouncing words. (one time I said "ditits" instead of "digits".)

I feel so bad about myself now. How can I make myself forget about these things?

I don't know whether this will make you feel better. But having been to school for many years, including 8 years of college, you sound like a lot of the best students.
When a student is really absorbed in the class, she or he often fidgets, slumps, fiddles with hair, etc, completely unaware anything but what the teacher is talking about. The student who sits up straight and looks straight at the teacher without moving, is often daydreaming and doesn't hear a thing.
So you mess up pronouncing a simple word you are reading; it shows a kind of creative thinking, going on side paths to look for something new. This may not be obvious, but trust me.
Also, I don't know whether you are aware of this, but you are at the age when people start to get embarrassed a lot. You start to get self conscious. It is uncomfortable but normal, and it will last a few years. You will also start getting embarrassed about your parents, family, and friends, for no good reason, but it will be hard to resist. When you get embarrassed, try to remember that part of it is your age, and you just have to put up with the feeling. Don't take it too seriously.

number one is not a big deal at all

number two happens ..tons of people hate reading out loud and read worst out loud then they do to them self's

and number three- sometimes it happens, everyone does it.

seeing other people do it and just acting like it never happen may help you feel better!

plus your just in sixth grade. your still really young and are learning and growing and everything. don't feel bad.

there is nothing you can do to change the past....all you can do is put it behind you....and dont think about screwing up otherwise u probably will again lol.......dont be so hard on yourself. No one is perfect :)

you're only in the sixth grade, don't worry about it. all these weird things will be things you make fun of and laugh about when you get older, don't worry about it. enjoy being able to act weird and still be considered normal while you can!

i'm clumsy with words myself....the trick is to learn to laugh at yourself....me i'll do something crazy and burst out laughing by then everyone is laughing too and they totally forget what you just did.....as for the hair you can put it up anytime u like....it doesn't matter what other people think all that matters is what you think of yourself...just dont linger on what others say jut let it go and u won't feel that way.

What you are doing is not weird. It's part of being human. So what if you put your hair up in the middle of class? It probably makes you more comfortable. I put my hair up the moment I walk in my house. Perhaps you only think you read out loud weirdly because you are little uncomfortable speaking in public. I would bet that most everyone in your class has the same feeling. They think they sound weird. Just keep practicing! When you get to junior high and high school you will have to do it more often. You may want to take an elective speech class to help you.

And as far as mispronouncing words - welcome to the club! Every person on earth says words incorrectly now and then. It's called being human. sometimes if you are extra tired, you may do it a little more than normal, but it happens. Even the President of the United States has trouble pronouncing simple (and complex) words. Not sure what his excuse is, but even he does it. So, don't worry! You're doing fine!

lots of people, especially girls, put their hair up in class. lots of people also read outloud and lots of people mispronounce words. you're fine. you're just in middle school, which is never enjoyable.
