blood is actually purple, until you get a cut or something. In which the blood turns red because it mixes with carbon dioxide... loll

Because of the haemoglobin contained in the red blood cells of the blood.

Blood in your veins isn't that red, more a deep brown/mauve colour. It only turns red on contact with air (oxygen) when the oxygen molecules bind with the haemoglobin ;-)

it is because of the red blood cells. it contains a red pigment called haemoglobin and this is why blood appears red

but mediaset explained us that the blood is also brown or black! they changed its color in one piece, conan. dragon ball...
