Kids Help Phone?!

Question: I'm having a lot of drama and stress in my life.. its 1:52 a.m. and my parents are asleep, plus I'm very shy so I'm not going to call. I posted my problem online, and I'll have to wait a few days for a reply.. I'm just curious, does Kids Help Phone work? Is it reliable? Should I stick with it for my other problems? Do they help you or just give typical answers? Any answers for any of those questions will be helpful. Thank you.

Hey, you teenagers now-days have so much peer pressure, and stress and drama in your lives, it's just crazy. My daughter has been living it ... she's in High School, and it's been devasting for her. She's felt as though she couldn't even talk to us parents ('cause we wouldn't understand). First of all, take your mom or dad aside, whoever you feel more comfortable with and tell them not to judge you, but tell them to listen and that you are under extreme stress and need to know where to turn. If you don't want to talk to them, then go to a school counselor, they'll help! You NEED somewhere safe to turn right now. Yes, even call the Kids Help Phone, but go to someone. A religious person can help without preaching to you. Just get some help from adults... believe it or not, even though you teenagers now-days have it extremely tough, adults are really smart in how life could be better for you. Don't let all of this stress get out of control ... find someone to talk to now!!! You'll be okay. You'll get through all of this!!!

I used a kids hotline when i was a teenager, and although being aware of the answers myself sometimes, just talking to someone and letting it out can help a lot. Perhaps seeing a school counselor would have been a better option for me, though, because they can provide a personalized and caring environment that can be quite useful. Well, good luck in whatever you choose :)

Kids help line is the one I use to talk to but they are not as good as they say they are, they say you can be anonymous
but as soon as you talk to them they want to know your name and where you live.
I have had someone hang up on me and report me about a problem I had they were very rude!
But that's just my experience it also depends on what sort of counselor you get on the other phone too, It might help if you just need to let it all out, and when someone just listens about what you have to say then that can help alot as well, just beware about what you say too these so called help lines they are not as anonymous as they say.
Good luck =)
