Honey, you need to get yourself to your doctor. Agoraphobia is hellish to live with. The fear of germs you are describing sounds a little like an obsessive compulsive type problem, but I'm not able to make that diagnosis. You really do need to go and see your doctor. Please?
Sending you lots of hugs and strength.

You need to see a doctor and get some help.

if you worrie to much you will catch it i suggest you go and dont worrie

Please talk to your GP who can help with your anxieties. There are always bugs going around, some you'll get, some you won't it's how your body builds up immunity. Don't let your anxieties deprive you of a full and rich life.

It sounds like are suffering from agraphobia, a fear of going out. Please don't worry too much, you need to see your GP if you can, who can refer you for help. Everything will be ok.

Best of luck xx

Sounds like you need to chat to your GP about the way you feel....

Its all about choice - you decide what you want then do it

If that means staying in for a while ok - but be reassured by that dont get depressed because you cant then go out
OR
Go out avoid the bug anyone who has it are not likely to be out and about... always wash your hands be aware -- get yourself out there..

Your choice

maybe you shold talkto your doctor you sound a bit down.eat lots of fruit and veg, exercise and take a multivitamin also get plenty of sleep.thats all you can do i wouldnt worry.have you got your flu jab?

Agoraphobia can be treated successfully by psychologists offering Cognitive Behavioural Therapy. This sounds fancy but it's really quite straightforward and takes just a few weeks. I suggest you find someone who does this and who is experienced in treating phobias. See your GP by all means but don't let anyone fob you off with drugs - that's not the solution. Good luck.

If you make sure you wash your hands before you eat or prepare food, you're unlikely to catch the vomiting bug as it's spread hand to mouth.
I'm scared of vomiting illnesses (quite phobic actually), but I have 2 kids and it's not an option to avoid going out and they're probably going to catch it at school. Hygiene is the key, but if you get it the positive thing is that you're immune to that strain of virus, so you won't get it again!
Be strong and go out and about - just avoid germs spreading from your hands to your mouth. good luck.

The best cure for this is to go immiediately outside, then go to your public park and throw yourself into the nearest muddy puddle. This will cure agoraphobia.

hun, there is nothing to worry about, why do you dread going out.
if you can drive and i hope you can as all you need to do is just pop into your car and go for a drive. it doesn't have to be anywhere you can drive to the countryside and enjoy the view.
Please hun and if you're still thinking "whats out there that's going to get ya"

You cannot live your life in fear. Go buy a bottle of Germ-X and get out and have fun. :)

NOTE: she never once said she had agorophobia

I think you are feeling depressed particularly due to the time of year, the bad weather, increase in illness etc. while you may not feel like going outside, the chances are you'll feel better not being stuck in your house. the liklihood of you getting the vomiting bug is fairly low unless you are in direct contact with those who are sick. if you feel you are more depressed than feeling just a little down i would advise seeking medical advice, perhaps a lack of confidence is preventing you from going out.

Please see you GP asap - if you can't get to him/her, get them to come to you. You don't need to suffer on your own, but can only get help if you seek it. It is simple - not to be confused with easy! Start the ball rolling, taking the first step is the hardest. As for catching this winter vomitting virus, unless you are really vulnerable ie, very old or a small baby, then the worst you could suffer is a couple of days in bed and the unpleasantness of being sick! - It's not worth letting it stop you from going out, though I think that's probably a symptom of the underlying problem.See your GP one way or the other, there is help out there. Good luck and take care.x
