How do i consentrate on my studies???!


Question: when im reading a book or somthing,my mind seems to go to other places.i really ne to solve this problem because i got a huge exem in a couple of months 2 come

If you study the art of mediation you will be able to overcome this. But you might not get it mastered in 2 months... but the sooner you start the better it will be for the rest of your life.

You can use a rosary, or any beaded necklace, or set a timer for 15 mins. You close your eyes and you pick a phrase (it can be anything... even 'peanut butter and jelly', it doesn't matter) and you slowly breath in a deep breath, and as you breath out slowly, you slowly say the phrase over and over again. The object is to focus on the sound of the phrase (not what it means) and use that to clear your mind. If you notice your mind wanders, or that you stop saying the phrase, don't worry, just start again. don't beat yourself up. This isn't a contest. Just keep starting over (not the timer, just the breathing and the phrase) until all your time is up. Try doing this 3 times a day (morning, afternoon, night) every day. At some point it will be natural and your mind won't wander anymore.... you will finally be able to make it all the way through the 15 mins without having to 'start over'. And your mind will be clear.

When you are doing it all kinds of thoughts will come to your mind. Just acknowledge them, and then let them go. Don't get emotional over the fact that you are having thoughts. Just look at the thought for a second, and then let it go.

Once you get this working for you, when you start to wander during studying, take 2 mins to meditate, and then go back to it. You are training your mind to focus, and it will really help.

try slow music

coffee...nice and strong. it'll help you focus.

Drink lucozade. It's a stimulant and it energises you.

you are not alone suffering this problem dear, most of the people are going through it, its quite natural!

do not go for coffee more than once, what u need is to do deep breathing for 10 min. before you start studying

also meditation for 10 min. early in the morning is the best way for concentration, i know its bit difficult, but it has no comparisons.

as natural ways are the best to increase your concentration instead of other things
