How do you know when your sleepy?!

Question: Is there a way to know if your sleepy or not? I have been having trouble with getting to sleep lately and I have read some questions and answers and have seen about you should only sleep when you are sleepy.

Hmm...I know I am sleepy when I can think of crawling into bed and sinking into the pillow...and that sounds like a GREAT idea. There are so many other things to do besides sleep though, that it is hard to make the choice. Sometimes, when I feel sleepy, I say...I'll just watch this 30 minute show, read one more chapter of this book, or answer one more question....hmm...I think this will be the last one! :)

This is crazy...but when I get into bed, I first imagine a sheet of paper in front of my face. It can be colored, but it is mostly white. Then, I imagine that my breath is another color (mostly black.) When I breath, I blow the black breath onto the white paper, and the paper turns black. When I breath in, I suck all the black up and the paper is white again. This happens for a long time...and then I am asleep. Works every time. ;)

when my eyes start closing

my eyes get itchy and my head sort of hurts.. i also start getting pains in my joints... and my legs get really achey.

i sort of yawn a lot too.. and can't keep my eyes open.

sometimes, i hold conversations with my roommate, but it sort of seems like i am drunk because i'm so "out there."

that is when i know it is time for me to go to bed..
