Reality verses dreamland? I sometimes have trouble telling the difference betwee!

Question: I may have a dream at night that was so very real to me, that when I wake up, I'm not sure if at some point in my life this event happened, or if my mind is loosing it. I guess I am just wondering if anyone else has ever had this happen. Thanks in advance.

I'm not a doctor, but I'm pretty sure you are not losing your mind. I have had the same experience you are describing for most of my life. I think that sometimes when we wake up from a dream some people take a longer period of time to re-adjust to ordinary consciousness. So for a split second you believe that you are still in a dream, but yet you are also sort of aware that you are in ordinary consciousness (wake state). The confusion of these two states rubbing together causes the fear that you are losing control of reality, but in fact you are just making a slower transition to a wakeful state and it is a bit of a struggle. Anyway, I could be wrong, but that's my best shot at what you are experiencing.
