From what I have read, anti-depressants has to build up in your system over a period of a week or two. I'm not a doctor, but it should be taken on a regular schedule and never go off of them without your doctor's help. You will bottom out big time. I have seen this happen. Also, the meds won't do it all for you. You have to help yourself too. Think positive thoughts and keep busy. Busy hands=happy heart.

Use Xanax and Welbutron, it's MUCH better....

Sorry to say, but no psychiatric drug ever cured anybody. They can sometimes just mask the problem but never solves it. Some of them are harmful, have serious side-effects and create dependency like any other drug.

Find a medical doctor whom you trust (NOT psychiatrist) and under his supervision start lowering your dosage and take LOT OF VITAMINS. Do not stop taking your medication abruptly as it can cause abstinential crisis.

For help in getting of drugs you can contact www.narconon.org and for more information on psychiatric drugs and their ill effects visit www.cchr.org

the max dosage of zoloft according to the blue book at the pharmacy is 200mg before and recently it has been lowered to 100mg for obvious reason that one should not take more than 200mg

i was forced to take 200mg for 4 yr and end up as follows
1) insomnia
2) unknowingly overdosed (suicide)
3) diarrhea
4) violence
5) increase irritation

zoloft is not a cure. it is very addicted (it will not work after a while). zoloft half-life is 26 hr it does not matter when you will take it. some psychiatrist will not increase dossage and prefer to experiment and recycle some other kind of drugs. this experiment will be going on forever.
