Nervous break down?!

Question: I had one 3 yrs ago. Has anyone else ever had one? And how is your life now?

Answers: I had one 3 yrs ago. Has anyone else ever had one? And how is your life now?

Yes and I was treated for mental illness. I have severe depression and anxiety. Treatment is going well and I am functioning well on my job and in my community. The treatment started 15 years ago and I am doing well.

There's no such thing as a nervous breakdown. There is something called a psychotic break which can only be diagnosed by a psychiatrist and it requires hospitalization.

However, I just had what I refer to as a complete emotional melt down. Not exactly a medical term, but dang, it sure was something. It happened just last month though I think it had been building for months, if not my entire life. I'm still not so sure what to do with it. My therapist is stumped. I've learned a lot from it, but just wondering what I do now.

I had one this year. My face became numb and white, and I was feaking out. Now, I feel somewhat relieved that I let it all out. For me, it was very frightening, the paramedics came, but they said I was just fine. They said my blood pressure wasn't high, and 130/90, but I believe it was. My regular pressure is 100/60. Wait, was that a breakdown?
