Answers: when i lie down to go to sleep i get bored and start listening to music or get online and that is cutting into my sleep time

sleep in a comfortable position

try to keep u r mind cool
stop thinking about unnecessary things
have a balanced diet

Take a sedative - get your doctor to write you up for MELATONIN.

I had the same problem. My doctor gave me a prescription for sleeping pills and it was terrible, the next day I felt drugged all day. My advice to you is to go to sleep at the same time everynight and really relax shut everything off and count from 100 but dont think of anything else besides counting. It works for me I hope it works for you!

Go to nearest health food store and buy Valerian. Take by mouth as siggested and make sure your in bed with-in half hour. If not then you will be asleep where your legs gave out from under you. Valerian is a muscle relaxer and does not put you to sleep, it only relaxes your body so you fall asleep naturally.

Also available is chamomile tea with valerian.

cut down on caffiene..... limit ur music listening time.... count sheep jumping over the fence..... hot bath and hot milk b4 going 2 bed.... comfortable position.... dim lighting..... gud pillow....

and tire urself out more.... u sound like a couch potato.

See insomnia treatments, in section 3, at http://www.ezy-build.net.nz/~shaneris . Use one of the relaxation methods, in bed, after lights out, on pages 2, 11, 2.c, or 2.i, but they can take some time to learn, (progressive muscular relaxation excepted) so learn and become proficient in their use during the day; an alternative is to use the EFT, in section 53, and pages 2.q, and 2.o, saying to yourself: "Even though I currently have a sleep disorder, I deeply and completely accept myself." (or choose your own wording) while you use the acupressure tapping technique. Find out which works best for you, in the daylight hours, so you will be prepared, come bedtime.

try reading, valerian, a minor sedative, I have had success with temazepam and stilnox, if you are panicking and that is causing the sleep loss then a low dose of valium might help. If it is only minor then as suggested valerian, chamomile etc might help. If you are jsut lieing in bed not sleeping then you are better off to get up and do something for half an hour, then go back to bed.
