Help with depression?!


Question: okay. sometimes i get in these weird moods (im in one right now) where i get realllly depressed and i dont know what brings it on. well its usually about friends, but its all of a sudden. i hav friends, believe me, and lets just say that i am NOT a loser :], but idk i still just get into these moods where i think 'who would really care if i wasnt around? i mean really?' used to think it was pms, but it cant be this time cause i had my period last week. (those have been really messed up). idk if its hormonal or what. i asked my mom about birth control but she wont listen. she says my period hasnt been messed up long enough. so yea. someone please give me advice on controlling my moods or what to do!!!

It's just hormones. You are growing up and having all kinds of symptoms of it. Everyone does. Just roll with the flow. When you get depressed find something to do like listening to happy music (no sad songs) exercise is great for getting rid of depression, it makes all those brain chemicals stand at attention and makes you happy. Go for a walk. Watch a funny movie, call a friend. Those moods will go away in time so keep yourself busy when you feel bad and you will forget how bad you are feeling while you are busy. Go shopping, there are so many options, find something you like to do and do it when you feel bad. Don't forget to exercise.

you should see a doctor they can give you medication and the medication can help you
with you moods you should also try to do thing that make you fill better or give yourself some space.

i'm bi-polar and i know what mood swing are like most of the time i have enough energy for 15 people then all of a sudden i want to beat those people up why it hits i have no idea but it only lasts 3 days and yes i also think that if i wasn't around who would miss me, i also go to my chiropractor every two weeks to keep my body in tune and i take my meds to keep my mind going ( paxil / zyprexa ) i'm also diabetic so i make sure i eat every 2 1/2 -3 hrs, so if i'm crabby usually its my body low on food . if that don't work chiropractor if that don't work then talking to my therapist every 2 weeks also helps i have aquaintances at work but no really close freinds to share with if i need a close buddy i have my kitty well good luck to you i hope i helped you out

Unless you have other symptoms not mentioned here such as poor sleep patterns, chronic fatigue, weight loss/gain, it is far more likely to be hormonal than clinical depression.
