Yes, I get very destructive at times. I try to go for a walk and listen to loud music to calm down before I act on any of the impulses.

yes i do but i feel like throwing stuff at the people that made me angry or smashing the person...

yep... breathe deeply and sit down.

i think of worse things that could be happening and that are happening to other people around the world. usually puts my anger in perspective..

i have. then i have to clean up the mess. take a deep breathe and regain composer.

Yeah but I tend to be able to control it, I have thrown a couple of things before but then ive always ended up braking it and that makes me feel worse.... My boyfriend on the other hand finds it very difficult to control it and has smashed up millions of mobile phones he always feels better for it.

I try to remember to take deep breaths in and out, or just leave the area of angst if possible. Unfortunately, I don't always get the time to think, and just sit and fume mostly.

i always feel that way. Punch your mattress or a pillow.

It's not unusual to feel like breaking something - I was brought up in a fairly crowded, noisy and - at times - violent - household.
But oddly. seeing others throwing things - losing their rag - helped me realise the importance of self-control. What I do when angered is "verbalise it" with some juicy Anglo-Saxon swear words. This usually releases pent-up feelings.
9 times out of 10 I find some degree of silliness or absurdity in the situation and literally "laugh it off" - which helps to avoid a continuing grudge or sense of "unresolved anger".

I try never to get angry, its an emotion that gains nothing and serves no purpose.
